Danielle & Travis’s Boho Chic Wedding at The Firestone in Kansas City

Danielle and Travis’s wedding day was one of those that, if you attended, you’d tell other people about.  And, not because each detail was beautifully thought out (although it was), but because of how you felt when you left.  It was a day filled with heartfelt emotion, family, close friends and that feeling that you were experiencing something truly special.  But, then again, that’s how Danielle and Travis make everyone feel.

This is a couple who cares deeply for those in their lives and, after meeting them briefly, you feel like you’re a part of their family.  Their warmth, genuine smiles and up beat personalities make you want to be around them and just tag along for the ride.  And I felt truly honored to capture their gorgeous day as it unfolded at the Historic Firestone building and around downtown Kansas City.

Floral crowns, a subtle blue and green color palette with pops of pinks, oranges and yellows, sunnies for the bridal party and florals and greenery draping each table at the reception gave this wedding a very bohemian, laid back and classy feel.  Danielle began with a flowing ceremony dress with nearly sheer, floral lace and lightly beaded top and then surprised everyone with a fun two-piece reception dress complete with blue kicks. And, of course, Travis looked oh-so-dapper with his light blue suit and blue suede shoes.  It was fun to see their sense of style and fun shine through in all the details of the day.

From a moving ceremony, to stunning rooftop views of Kansas City and a night filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, hours of epic dance moves and a grand sparkler exit this was a wedding that will be remembered for years to come.

Congrats again Danielle and Travis!  I loved being a part of your amazing day!  Wishing you all the best!!

XOXO,

Allie
