When Kaitlyn told me that she and Seth were getting married in an old barn, I didn’t know what to expect. After doing a little research, I found that The Thompson Barn in Blue Springs is anything but hay bales and grazing animals… it’s actually a stunning brick barn built in 1932 that has been turned into a rather swanky wedding venue.
Their wedding day was met with thunderstorms in the morning that threatened to loom over their entire day, but by the afternoon, the rain had cleared and a beautiful day emerged from behind the clouds. Everything took place at the barn and the surrounding grounds offered a great backdrop for pictures.
Kaitlyn was a gorgeous bride who exuded an old Hollywood glam presence with her stunning ivory lace dress and classic winged eye liner and bright lips. The decor echoed this theme of vintage charm with old wooden boxes, an array of colorful flowers held in muted bottles and twinkling lights.
Seth and Kaitlyn were so cute together teasing each other and stealing glances as we took photos… you just get the feeling they enjoy being around each other and that their love runs deep. They were so fun to be around and their bridal party brought a lot of laughs to their day! Here’s their sneak peek!
It was so fun being a part of your day Kaitlyn & Seth! Congrats!!
