Elizabeth and Carter are just those type people you want to be around. I found that if you spend even five minutes with Elizabeth, you feel like you’ve been best friends for years. Elizabeth’s bubbly, sweet personality and Carter’s quiet, kind demeanor are the perfect partnership. It was no surprise that nearly 300 friends and family wanted to celebrate this couple’s wedding!
The ceremony and reception took place at Lake Doniphan Conference and Retreat Center where Elizabeth and Carter met as teenagers. When the time came to get engaged, Carter knew the perfect spot to propose would be where they met. Of course that meant that it was only fitting that their ceremony would take place where they met and the exact place where he proposed. Their gorgeous wedding had so many other personal touches such as Elizabeth wearing her great grandma’s earrings and her mom’s veil and a necklace that held her mom’s diamond from her wedding ring from her late husband and Elizabeth’s father.
There were fun surprises throughout the day as well like Elizabeth and Carter’s choreographed first dance to “You’re the One that I Want” and Elizabeth pulling her mom out onto the dance floor for a special mother/daughter dance. Carter and Elizabeth also read their written vows just to each other which created a very unique and intimate moment of committing their lives to each other.
This was such a beautiful celebration filled with so many great moments… enjoy this sneak peek into their day!
Congrats again Elizabeth and Carter! It was an honor to photograph your beautiful wedding and I hope you look back at these images with great memories for years to come!
All the Best,
Allie
