Jessica and Larry are two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. I had so much fun getting to know them over the past year as we talked about their big day and shot their engagement pictures this past March. (View their Union Station & Arrowhead Stadium engagement session here!)
It was a gorgeous August day for their wedding with barely a cloud in the sky and lots of sunshine. One thing I really appreciated about Jessica and Larry was not only their apparent love for each other, but their love of all things Kansas City! Their ceremony took place at St Mary’s, Kansas City’s oldest Episcopal Church which is also a historic landmark. This beautiful church is said to be haunted which intrigued Jessica and Larry. It was a stunning backdrop for Jessica’s classic touches like her ball gown dress and pink color scheme and their not so traditional ring bearer- their pup!
A ribbon exit after the ceremony led the bridal party to local Kansas City favorites, Cinder Block Brewery and Liberty Memorial for pictures. For their reception, they chose another Kansas City landmark, Uptown Theater. Their wedding felt like a personal tour of Kansas City and ended with a surprise that Jessica set up for Larry that was the icing on the cake… a guest appearance from The Chiefs very own KC Wolf! As two die-hard Chiefs fans, this only heightened the days’ celebration.
Enjoy their sneak peek!
